Sony Buys Bungie - Playstation vs Xbox or New PC Wars? Activision Blizzard Microsoft Response

Sony Interactive Entertainment SIE announced they had bought Bungie today the developers of Destiny 2. With Microsoft Xbox's recent purchase of Activision Blizzard, many see this as a response to that announcement. But as Bungie will not be having any exclusive games from this deal, what is the reason for it? Is this simply another domino in the console wars, or the start of a new PC war with Xbox Gamepass Vs Sony Playstations unnamed service?

Yah it is kind of low that they expect you to pay full price for a port 2 years old. I've waited 2 years if I really want to play it I can wait another year for a steam sale. As a PC user I already have enough games to last a lifetime.

Sony were actually on pc for years. They even released games under the SOE brand I think it was for ages. They already know how to talk to pc gamers because pc players are gamers. They play the same games as you or I. Pc will definitely welcome the rich history of Amazing Sony And many more are sure to come.

Trust me, ain't nobody fighting for PC dominance lol. It's seen as an extra source of revenue but it isn't worth fighting over PC share bc PC gamers don't buy many games to begin with so it'll be a huge loss and waste of time trying to fight for it.

Anything that will force that god awful gamepass pc app to improve will be welcomed. But what will Sony offer? They already are letting go of their exclusives. Gamepass gets Forza 5 day one, Sony gives us FF7 remake only on Epic for 80$ hmmmm
