Great video. I had one installed about 2 months ago. It was a quick and easy install. We love the built in recirculation, now no more waiting for hot water in the kitchen. This is where we put the crossover. I would have preferred a dedicated return but in my case cost prohibited. The smart learn does take about 2 weeks to settle out but not bad overall. I am waiting on the wireless module you used just so I can monitor and adjust the schedule if needed. It was on backorder when we installed the unit. Now I know exactly how to hook it up when it arrives. Thanks Ben!

Great vid as always Ben. I’ve implemented so many things that you did videos on and I’m forever grateful. But we installed an electric water heater tankless 27kw. We are total electric community unless you want to use propane. My electric panel, Mana Block manifold and tankless are all in a 6’ space. Both main bathrooms are next to them. In Florida in August our electric bill was $110. The highest usage month of the year. It takes 12 seconds to get hot water for a shower in either bathroom. We are very happy with how it preforms. We also have a variable speed three stage heat pump. Keep the vids coming.

Those screens may keep birds out but they won't keep wasps out. I have had my unit down every two years due to dead wasps at the burner shutting down the unit. I added metal window screen over the concentric vent and haven't had any more problems.

Good vid. For those in the trade, Rinnai offers free 2 day install/ troubleshooting classes at their Peachtree, Ga. headquarters. Well worth the time!

Are expansion tank and water filter not required?

Thank you for a very informative video. Why did you use a 1/2" gas pipe on the Rinnai 199i model? Does it require 3/4" pipe to provide up to 199, 000 BTU? Your explanation would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Thanks! Great video with step by step installation process! I have a question: could I use CPVC pipe to connect with my Rinnai WH for both cold and hot water? Thanks!

Hi Ben I spoke to you about tankless heaters and have decided to go with the duel heaters one RXP Rinnai for the in floor radiant heat and The RX model for the DHW, on that dedicated return line for the hot water, does that have to be ordered separately? And does that just tap into the existing isolation valve? Thanks in advance ( A dedicated watcher of all your videos)

Wonder if the freeze protection would work here in NW Wisconsin where is can dip to -40f? Oh… no, all our water pipes come into the basement or under a slab where they won’t freeze so never mind 😊

I see that the RXP199iN has a few accessories listed on Rinnai's website which weren't covered. Could you make a video covering the condensate neutralizer, pipe cover, and scale cutter?

Which unit did you install Benjamin? Also, can you point me to those wrenches you used on the gas line? Thanks.

Hello Ben, great installation video. I have had a Bosch Aquastar 125B NG for about 20 + years. Still works, no electronics, tiny pilot but the throttling water valve seems to be acting up which controls the gas valve. Looking to replace it in 2025 with a non-condensing unit. Looks like I will have to replace the NG service line to 3/4 pipe from 1/2 inch. It does come off of a 1" gas line that goes to the furnace. Also, can intake air be brought in from a cold garage? Another question is that I have a 5 inch double wall stack going straight up from the Bosch unit 2 floors and out thru the roof. Would that be ok to use to vent a new unit, or would it have to be lined with a PVC pipe liner. Thank you. Hope you had a great Holiday. Dave
