Hey boy! Back in my day there was no tankless water heaters! We built a fire, threw a water trough on top of it, and filled it with a hand pump and bucket. Didn’t cost nuthin and only took half a day to get hot

I still install service valves on these little rheem units. It doesn't hurt, they still need to be flushed like any other unit

Hey Boy, You do nice work, I installed and EMax brand under sink unit It was the display model at The plumping supply house in my own home garage and it works well. I can wash my truck with hot water in the winter and wash my hands in hot water no complaints

IWH’s are huge in commercial application, we spec em a lot for that but for residential it’s not too common. Very cool! They’re convenient but pricey!

I have a small tankless water heater underneath the sink in my kitchen. Plumbed into the hot water line. I have hot water available in a second and a half. By the time the hot water from the garage where the water heater is, makes its trip around the house through the master bedroom and down to the kitchen I would have wasted gallons of cold water, before getting hot water.
I also tried the recirculation pump and we did not like it.
