You can combine the push-pull method and the oblique drills by using a ladder. I've been doing this for a few weeks and it's a killer. How to:

Find a ladder. Find out which rung you can lift your leg over with the knee straight. Put your foot up on the *next* rung. I start with 10 of the oblique drills. Then I spend 10 seconds trying to push my foot down through the rung as hard as I can. Then ten seconds trying to lift it up off of the rung. Repeat these isometrics for 2 more times both down then up. I do this drill both in the front kick and the side kick position on both legs 2x a week. I'd do it more, but it's Saturday, and I still have soreness from Thursday's workout.

Adam, you literally read my mind. I'm just starting back in TDK to finish BB. I belted in Tang soo do while Korea but i did not practice for a while. Getting flexibility back has been a journey so far. Fundamentals are still there. Thanks for video broham

This is great. It reminds me of my Tae Kwon Do training in my youth. Watching these videos makes me remember how grueling these drills were. With me now being literally middle aged, I've been looking for new ways to build strength and tone. I use the gym to build muscle, but athletic conditioning, not so much. I will incorporate some of these drills, the next time I go to the park.
