But you didn't tell us what engine braking is. You went straight into how to use it

It’s so easy in an auto just let your foot off the gas without hitting the brakes and the car will slow. I use this all the time it’s helpful when you know there’s a speed limit change coming up instead of braking just slow down by engine braking. I do this all the time and my brake pads having been lasting a long time because of it. They should seriously teach this on driving tests I know they probably do with high performance tests but still it’s a great tip to do as a driver.

The #1 is good as it prevents accidental stalling of the vehicle as you are on neutral and you control slowing down via the break, though it demands full focus and attention (if you are a learner) as the usual issue is you can constantly forget to turn the stick back at 1st gear if you want to continue your action after slowing down.

yeah is a really great way to save fuel.. i do this frequently as most of the time we're driving with the fuel indicator on lol

So if you're driving at a speed of 80kmh, the next Speed limit 60kmh and you take foot out of the gas for the vehicle to role up to 60kmh with the gear in still in 6th. Is it also considered as engine braking?

I would like to learn how to do engine braking too, but after watching your whole video, I still don't know what it is, or how to do it (despite your title)! You explained "WHY" but not "WHAT"!

For fuel consumption if you go down a hill, and after that you go up a hill you are better off going down in neutral and going up in gear.

Music is too loud but the voice is like a whisper. Audio is improperly balanced, it breaks my ears.

speaking of fuel efficiency when you're engine the rpms rise above 2k - 2.5k rpm, while in neutral....the rpms at less than 1k rpm. the engine is spinning at 2.5k rpms...dont you think its using more fuel than idling at 1k rpm. if you say the inertia of the car is forcing the engine to spin "without any fuel"....then the engine would just shutoff if it doesnt get any fuel. and if it doesnt need any fuel while engine might just turn off my engine while engine braking from 60mph. it should still "slowly" bring me to a stop.

What are the advantage of using the engine break all the time

Say you personally love engine braking? I tell you what I like! I like being in neatural with the hand brake on and all feet off the pedals to give my feet a rest/break as the pedals are hard to press and thus heavy work on my feet redolent of lifting heavy weights! 😂 I have got a 19 year old fiat-punto car! Manual cars are going out of style!

Yeah well I tore my transmission out of my Corolla doing this. I have a standard. It's really dumb. But it was more fun than just braking 🥳
