This happened to me. I was 5 months pregnant and didn't know. Had my regular period and everything. No stomach. I only found out because I God dehydrate and ended up in the hospital. At the time of the ultrasound I had a baby in there kicking away! Didn't even feel her kicks....now she's a beautiful healthy 10 year old!

I had an IUD after my 2nd child and it hurt so bad when they put it in. I almost passed out. Fast forward to a week later, I almost dropped my baby after picking him up because of the pain. I couldn’t feel it when checking as they suggested. I called my doctor and she said it was normal but to come in just in case. Anyway, she punctured my uterus when putting it in and it was floating around by my ovaries. Emergency surgery later and I made my husband get a vasectomy.

When I was doing my externship to be a medical assistant at an OB/GYN office, there was a woman who came in after leaving the hospital (where she was supposed to have her IUD implanted) because they told her she was pregnant. She came to us to verify it was correct and I will never forget the look on that woman's face. She was so distraught. She said, "I just had a baby four months ago... it was my fifth child. I can't..." and I had no idea what to say. The shock, fear and sadness was so clear on her face.

I had twins on the pill at 19 because antibiotics for a UTI canceled them out. They're 24 now.

Same. 10 months old now. She’s the absolute best. But it took me 9 months and a lot of prayer to get through it.

Lmaooo this actually happened to my sister, after my nephew was born she decided to go for a IUD. She went back a few times complaining that she constantly was very aware of it and just felt it being there, they said it was completely fine and brushed it off. Anyway, 5 months after my nephew’s birth I made a comment about her having pregnancy vibes and her tata’s being bigger. Anyway, she took a test to prove me wrong, turns out she was 2 months pregnant and the IUD was so low it almost fell out 😂

At a appointment i told my doctor it felt weird and my partner could feel it. He went to check and it was literally hanging by a thread, he said let's do a test to be sure. I was 8 weeks pregnant. My son will be 9 in February.

My fiancé at the time knocked my iud out, it got partially imbedded in my uterine wall. I thought it was just really bad cramps that month until they didn’t go away and my period never came. That’s how I got my youngest child

My husband laughed and thought I was being crazy when I took a pregnancy test. I had an IUD, after all. I had him come with me for confirmation from the doc. His face when he saw the ultrasound with the little gummy bear shape perched above the IUD was priceless.

I hope the baby is okay. I didn’t find out my IUD failed until I started miscarrying. Extremely traumatizing.

And this is why I’m celibate. Because I have friends (smart, rational, educated friends) who have gotten pregnant on literally every form of birth control. That .01% chance of pregnancy is strong

As a L&D RN, I saw a baby born who had the IUD in his little hand. I'll never forget that delivery!
