this doesn’t hurt at all. if they numb you it does NOT hurt. and the healing process isn’t bad at ALL. its worth it. i felt nothing.

i just got it!!! i was absolutely terrified because a.) i’m scared of needles, b.) i have a low pain tolerance, and c.) i have anxiety. but it was a breeze!!! in my opinion, the numbing shot kinda felt like when i got my tattoo, but i was able to endure 10 seconds of discomfort as my tattoo took 2 1/2 hours. they did a prick test on me to make sure the numbing meds worked (which helped reduce my anxiety about the applicator going into my arm because the pricks felt like light tapping). when it went into my arm, all i felt was a little poke, not worse than the numbing shot, and i think that’s because i react weird to numbing meds. it was completely bearable and i highly suggest it to anyone who is considering it! listening to music helped me get thru it.

I got it for the third time, doesn’t hurt getting it out or put in because the numbing is really good and it’s VERY effective.

I just got it for the 2nd time yesterday and the numbing meds stung for a few seconds but you don’t feel when they put the actual implant in. Removal doesn’t hurt either for anyone wondering 😊

I just had it inserted. The local anesthetic was the only part that “hurt”. the numbing agent they use kinda stung for a few seconds, then it went away and i didn’t feel a thing when they put it in. mine lasts for 5 years

Got this removed recently. It was great not needing to worry about taking pills but I gained so much weight and I would get so depressed so easily and not be able to do anything all day.

I just got this done. It hurt but it wasn’t too bad, the worst part tho was when they accidentally dislocated my shoulder.

I wish this had worked for me. I mean it worked in the sense I didn't get pregnant but it was awful having it in. Putting it in my arm was painless, no problems there. But after for the next 7/8 months I had non stop bleeding. It was really heavy and smelled really strong. Every time I sat down at work, a huge waft of it went up in my face. I genuinely mean it when I saw non stop heavy period, not even one day off. I don't even know how my body had enough blood in my uterus to do this?? I practically begged the clinic to give me any appointment to take it out, I was desperate. On depo shot now and I've gained a lot of weight, I've gone from an xxs size to a medium. Some people might think that's not a lot or a big deal but for me it means I no longer fit into most of my clothes, it's awful.

Is it supposed to be like on the underside of your arm or the inner part of your arm

Can the implant withstand your body weight (torso) leaning directly on it? Especially if you were lying on the floor?

I have it too, got it done after I had a d&c from a miscarriage, I was so out of it I don’t remember anything but I don’t think I’ll ever get it again, once I get it out I wanna try for a baby #2
