I've owned 3 Tacomas in the US with this engine. It's slow and brash but my God you can't kill them. I've loaded the bed so heavy that I had trouble steering on the highway lol.

That reminds me of my old hiace with the 2.7 VVTI or whatever it was. I'd have to absolutely rev it to the sheisen to overtake. It was reliable though 😅

This exact model and petrol engine should be available in high ride suspension and 4wd with low range for under $35, 000. Many people are sick of diesels and there problems as they age, these engines will give 3-400, 000 trouble free mileage . Totally trouble free .

Got myself a 2021 automatic...”yikes” the fuel consumptions around 15 litres per 100km...so only around 400kms per tank of fuel...
Although mine is under load everyday...But it’s a real work beast....
