An Introduction to order of operations in Tableau

In this video, I take on the second concept we need to cover before looking at LODs and that's the order of operations. This is just an introduction with one example of how it affects our views but it's a great starting point to the topic with an example you can follow.

Hey Tim, great video. I have a question regarding data source filter vs context filter. Which of the two will have a better performance impact on my workbook? In other words, referencing the example in the video, if I just want Alabama for my analysis, which filter should I apply for better performance? (given that I am not interested in analysing any other states in other worksheets).

Thank you Tim for the video ..I always have order of operations documentation page open when I work with tableau ..as you have mentioned in video often it would come down to tableau's order of operations to achieve things ..Another important concept to master is cascading filters .
