Fun Fact: The reason Yakult is in a "shot" size is because it has live bacteria. Making the size bigger will cause some customers to leave it for later, causing that bacteria to die, rendering the drink useless.

As a kid, me and my siblings would always poke a small hole in the top with a toothpick and drink it from there cause it just tasted better that way somehow. Also if you freeze them, they taste super good. Would be epic if you made a Yakult kulfi 🤔

My mom asked this when visiting the Yakult factory in the Netherlands. The small shots are to protect the bacterias. If it would be in a pack you would use for a couple of days, the bacterias would desintegrate.

Hey! My dad actually works in the manufacturing of Yakult. It has a lot of benefits for digestion as it’s high in good bacteria which assists in gut health. A lot of elderly people drink this but it’s for all age groups. It is recommended however to have around 2 a day.
