Who are Kara and Nate?!

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married 2013 and were super “normal.” I was a teacher and Nate started a small printing business from the spare bedroom of our apartment. We discovered the world of “travel hacking” & became obsessed. So after 2 years of obsessively saving $35k and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016 for a “one year” trip around the world. Our goal was to see as many places as possible before we ran out of money and went home to “normal life.” We started this travel vlog to share our experiences with friends and family, but quickly fell in love with this lifestyle and did everything we could to keep going. 4 years later, we achieved our new goal of visiting 100 countries and all 7 continents. We had no plans to slow down, until 2020 forced us to ;) Which is when we bought a converted van to start exploring our own country for the first time. Van life was a major adjustment and so different than flying every week like we were used to, but we are incredibly thankful to be able to continue doing something we love every day. 😊🎥🌎

I literally don't even know how to describe how I feel watching you guys do these incredible adventures. I found you shortly after my now 5 year-old was born and I quickly decided to binge watch you from day one until present day. Seeing you go from not riding a giant ferris wheel because of your budget, to showing people the adventures that exist it literally brings tears to my eyes, Thank you for being 100% authentically you, excited over every little thing and I can tell you still feel the pinch me moments. You two feel like family and I cannot wait to watch this adventure unfold.

I ran straight away to check the price of such a trip. The cheapest version I've found $74, 320 per 2 people (1 room). Well, what a motivation to work harder to be able to afford such a cruise. It looks truly amazing!
I love how you're discovering such adventures and sharing those with us!

That’s rare we get to see a beautifully decorated cruise ship with clean, simple lines and Scandinavian influence. The cabins, lounges and dining spaces have a very 5 star, luxurious ambiance.

We enjoyed your north pole icebreaker journey so much. As we're watching this 1st episode, my husband Jerry's says. "I have engineering documents all over that ship." He's a now retired, Senior Systems Engineer. His company designs and installs Dynamic Positioning Systems for ships. Jerry designed the system on this 1. I thought that was very cool. Just wanted to share that with you both. Small world. This was 1 of his many designs when we still lived in San Diego California.

Omg! Kara was already making me laugh with how hyper she was during the tour, but then the Teletubbies suit and her dancing happened and I was DYING!!! Such a good vibe! Love it!

The first video I watched of you was the Antarctica Series. Now seeing your North Pole experience while actually heading to Longyearbyen myself in a few days, makes me so happy. Thank you for the inspirations!

Just a clarification for those that might be unaware: When he said "It does not get dark up here, ever...". Within the Arctic circle, and the Antarctic circle, the phenomenon of Midnight sun occurs. This means that the sun does not set below the horizon for at least once every year, per the definition of midnight sun. Directly on the poles, the duration of the midnight sun lasts for pretty much half a year.
The downside of the seemingly ever lasting sun in the Polar circles, is that when half a year goes by, the opposite Pole circle wants its share of the sun. After 6 months of everlasting sun, the phenomenon of "Polar night" occurs. This is the complete opposite, and means that the sun never rises above the horizon. No real daylight, for 6 months straight.
