Well the downfall of Alpine can be blamed solely on the shoulders of Famin, remember this team was still a podium finisher under Otmar, who was in charge of the engine before it was locked down in 22', Famin, his beyond the grid episode showed he was completely incompetent always blaming the previous management "engine was shit because the guys in charge in 14' fucked up" "the team sucks this year because the guy last year fucked up" the epitome of utter ineptitude, his name is such an accurate omen Famin ~ famine of success

Still can’t believe Daniel Left Red Bull for This team 🤦‍♂️

They should have just let Otmar work his magic. So much experience put to waste.

A. It’s clear u don’t need to be a works team to win anymore. B. I’m confident about Renault’s future w/Flavio now in charge. Whether you think he’s a cheat or not, he knows how to run a team + he won’t tolerate corporate know nothings interfering. C. Getting an MB engine will both increase performance while saving tons of $ that can go into improving the team everywhere else.

15:02 It’s not just a reminder of Alpines incompetence but also relieve that Oscar didn’t sign!

Short answer, everyone else has improved while they have stayed the same and refused to invest despite the series being the most profitable it's ever been.

Hind sight is 20/20 however looking back:

How right was RedBull (Christian Horner and Helmut Marko seeing through the Renault rhetoric) at the time publicly saying towards their once 4 time Championship partner that Renault was uncompetitive, the weak link, holding them back. The words of Christian Horner still echo "We've been paying to fly in First class, but ended up with an Economy ticket".

How lucky was Oscar Piastri to have left Renault/Alpine for McLaren, where he would otherwise have been a back marker, unable to show his abilities at the front against more seasoned and experienced heavy weights and the possibility to have a dull short stint in F1. A lot to thank Mark Webber for and for Mark Webber's coaching in publicity, media, team politics etc.
His post will go down in history being a huge entrance into an F1 seat. The axe to Alpine and the management shake up letting many go soon after the statement "I understand that, without my agreement, Alpine F1 have put out a press release late this afternoon that I am driving for them next year. This is wrong and I have not signed a contract with Alpine for 2023. I will not be driving for Alpine next year."

How wrong were the Renault fans in the way they responded and treated Honda.

How right were Honda knowing and believing they had the ability, made to suffer the humiliation of McLarens finger pointing at Honda claiming McLaren had the "best chassis on the grid" can rival RedBull. When McLaren did receive Renault engines the shock of not being anywhere near RedBull finally rang home and the blame finally went to where it should be and management shake up resulted with their Technical Director being sacked. Then the Frodo Gate scandal appeared with great staff unrest which essentially Vindicated Honda who went on to winning ways with RedBull.

The employees at Viry -Châtillon are threatening to not start the cars. Years of underdelivering, they thought they would keep their comfy work forever.

Omar Would’ve Done A Good If He Had More Time My Opinion If Andretti Ever Get A Chance He Should Definitely Be Part Of The Team
