Another great artist and band ignored by the so-called classic rock stations that play the same stuff over and over.

Alvin Lee...seen him 4 times...one of the best guitarists to walk the planet. He always gave the audience their money's worth.

Was a great honor for me to remaster audio and picture of this footage for Repertoire Records, by keeping in mind my good contact with Alvin many years ago. His wonderful music and guitar playing will remain alive for all time...

Alvin Lee is by far the best blues guitarist I've seen in the last 40 years.

Along with Stan Webb of Chicken Shack and Kim Simmonds of Savoy Brown, sadly among the most unheralded guitarists of Heavy British Blues.

Just want to say thank you to my cool-ass mother-in-law Christine, who partied with Hendrix in Monterey, who just turned me onto this dude! Right on, Chris, this rocks!!

I drove with my friends from Boston to Fitchburg, Mass in 1977 to see Alvin, tripping my brains out. Great live band.

I remember as a 16 yr old, sneaking backstage at the Leicester De Montfort Hall gig in '79, with my mate.. they sat us down and entertained us with a rock n roll version of 'The Four Yorkshiremen' sketch.. no stuck up rockstar boll*cks.. just proper blokes.. true legends, all of 'em.

I was a roadie for Alvin when he did a solo tour in the Seventies. I literally held that guitar in my hands during sound checks.

Warning.
