I jammed with Alvin Lee in Havant England, February 1998. Very gracious guy, phenominal guitarist. We had a blast all night long.

We've lost too many great ones in my almost 70 years and over 60 of playing. Alvin Lee, a legend, a master of clean speed screamin' licks!!!

The Great Alvin Lee. He rightfully stands at the top of the mountain, among the greatest guitar players in all of Rock n' Roll. How he could play like that with such precision is testament to the fact that he was not only a uniquely talented guy, but you can be sure early on he'd have practiced many thousands of hours till his fingers bled the blues. Rest in Peace, Lightning Slinger.

My older brother introduced me to Alvin Lee at 14 years old, and my beloved brother Joe passed at 57. I am now 62 & my big brother was the best of the best!!! 🎶 🙏🫂🫂🫂🫂🫂🫂🫂

This song blew my 11-year-old mind in 1971 and they quickly became my favorite band. More people should know about this brilliant guitarist

Gonna be 10 years gone in March of 2023. Ten years after Alvin Lee he should be remembered not forgotten. How about a movie or documentary?

1974, I took a hit of purple barrel and put me some boozy woozy bluesy white boy rock & roll on the stereo system and I said Oh hell yeah baby, where you been all my life? Well, you know how it is ... music takes on a life of it's own when you're trippin on LSD, and it was as if I was hearing music for the first time. Even old familiar tunes became so much more meaningful and effected me so very deeply, as if I was hearing them for the first time. So I ran out to the music store and bought me _Alvin Lee ~ Ten Years After_ LP album. It was the very first rock album ~ first album period ~ I ever purchased. That evening I ended up purchasing the Alvin Lee album and Pink Floyd, _Dark Side of The Moon._ And so I went back home and I had me a wonderful evening ~ just me, Alvin Lee, Pink Floyd, and LSD. Never looked back. Music and concerts and the psychedelic higher consciousness Aquarian Age hippy counter-culture lifestyle became my life. I found something greater than money, greater than myself, greater than the world. It became a spiritual experience. Well whadda ya know about that.

The 70ies should not have ended, and I would still be a teenager discovering great stuff (of all sorts 😉).

As a teen I saw Ten Years After at the Red Rocks in Boulder Colorado. The very best live concert ever.
I lost my ride and flagged a ride from the road crew. They saved my life that night. It’s a long dangerous walk down a long dark road. I praise the Lord for their kindness. Now Archbishop in a church of the East. 😊❤

Only been a few guys that could just let music explode out their fingers like that... Jimi, Stevie, and Alvin are the first few that come to mind.
