That's one of the reason I enjoy your channel, never negative! I like how you take your time and explain what you are doing. Some channels really rush through the tutorial and more than likely live newbies scratching there heads.

When I first had Mint on all my machines, I thought SSH'ing everywhere using keys, so no passwords, was the COOLEST thing EVER. It's still pretty dang cool. Even the File Manager (Nemo) can ssh to other machines. Love Linux.

OK, when you said that you where just using ssh/scp it kinda surprised me, seeing your knowledge and passion for Linux. Your always positive and never have anything bad to say, it's why I like your channel. Keep up the good work, very much appreciated.

I like to use FileZilla for a nice GUI to do SSH file copies for large amount of file copying . It's just nice this way. I can just keep adding files to copy into a queue. For simple file copies, SCP is awesome!!!

I use SSH to tunnel my internet traffic at work thru my home internet to access sites blocked which I need to do my job. I stay away from social media to justify the use but you can do this as long as the port not blocked. Be aware that on a work network your browser history is still logged even though they can't see what you're doing, they can see where you're going.

Thanks Joe. I feel like a dork as I have been running Putty over SSH for years instead of the SSH command. The only consolation is that I am not the only one to hit the comma in error I did it twice today. already.

I knew about ssh as well but never used it until this week. Now I can't stop using it. Great video!! Is it possible to start up a machine over ssh?

when logged in ar two or more computers with terminator. try ctrl+a(or win+a), then you can send same command to all. one window to rule them all. starting htop on all logins at once. both cool, fun and dangerous if taking it too far. but brilliant to make simmilare configs, apt update, exit...

Would rsync be better for transferring large files over a local network? scp goes really slow on mine.

Thank you Joe! -Y Flag was new to me.
Have you used SSHFS? I use it with a file server, which is a music and film archive, and space for backups. Samba is crap compared to this. Please make video about SSHFS :)

I know that this is a very picky thing, but you should use ip addr instead of ifconfig as it is now considered to be depreciated.

How about monitoring multiple cpu miners on a network

Thanks for awesome videos! Can linux machine interact the same way with a Mac. I've tried some basic commands that worked and some did not. I've heard people refer to both systems terminals as the same, but are they 100%? Thanks again!

I've been stomped on remembering the OpenSSH commands.

I GOT AUTO LOG IN as show in the video, I used the Passwords & Keys GUI in Unity but, I tried to do all this from the Terminal, I cheated by importing the keys by GUI.
