Kobalt 80V 22' Snowblower Review | Worth the Money?!

Today we test out the Kobalt 80V 22" Snowblower with 6.0ah battery from Lowes. Can this battery snowblower handle 5-10" of snow on a 30'x34' driveway? As we show, it sure can! This is a great addition to your Kobalt 80V lineup if you currently use other 80V products such as Lawn Mower or Trimmer.

Hey good video - little tip (assuming the safety interlock gets fixed) - when pulling backwards over the path you’ve already done, no need to run the motor. That will help give you more usable battery life.

I already have the Kobalt 80v mower. I've had it for 2 years now and I love it! I've been thinking of getting this and ditching my gas blower.

Not trying to tell you what to do but put the chute at a 45 degree angle it wont blow as bad. The problem with the switch i would exchange it now, great video !!!

Great review. I have the 80v lawnmower, leafblower and edger, very satisfied with all of them. With your review I feel comfortable purchasing the snowblower . Thank you

Thanks for an honest review. The safety switch failure looks like the machine should be recalled. There should be no excuse for a critical failure on a safety switch on day one. How is the customer service with this company to get the issue resolved?

Thanks for the review! Just got done shoveling equivalent size driveway (got 8-12" last night) and it's late December in CO. Much wetter snow than we normally get this time of year. I have Kobolt eqpt already so like you said "it's a no-brainer". Thanks again!!

I have committed all my battery tools to Kobalt so yes, it’s a now brainer. Good review. Our snow average at one snowing is about 4 inches and your demo handles 2x as much. I will be getting one now for this coming winter.

I have one and an extra battery. I put both batteries in and just swap them when one dies. We had 24 inches of fluffy snow and more in places 2 weeks ago and I went out and did my car, my 2 neighbors the pathway between the cars the sidewalk and a little more and used about 1/2 of the second battery. I will say mine seems to blow further than yours did. I can blow snow into my yard from the front of my car pulled into the parking spot and sidewalk. last year with heavy wet snow it still handled it with no problem. in front of the cars that the snowplow had pushed wet snow up pretty high my girlfriend would take a shovel and give a downwards cut and I easily threw the snow across the street with no problem. I leave it in the basement which I have to go through the kitchen to get to and carrying it down the stairs is no fun, but neither is shoveling. People that recommend gas snowblowers have to understand not everyone has storage for gas snowblowers like a garage if you live in a city. When I was young a neighbor used to leave his motorcycle in his front entry way until it exploded taking the whole front of the house out. I will never have a gas engine in my house after seeing that!

I'm impressed 👍 I bought a ego 2 stage snow blower and the way it looks, I might get it used the first time this weekend

Impressive demonstration. My neighbor has a Ryobi battery operated snowblower and it couldn’t handle wet heavy snow. For now I’ll stick with my Honda 4 stroke single stage and my Ariens 24” Platinum.

Works fine for me. I have 3 batteries and I just rotate out from used up ones to new ones while another charges. I've had it for 3 years now so it's worked just fine. I usually like to get at the snow while it's less than half a foot if there's going to be a lot of snow fall.

Also that's the first time I've seen the snowblower just run away like that without having the bar pulled back and none of the buttons worked.

For the times I feel my Ariens 2-Stage is overkill, something like this machine would come in handy! Very Impressive.
