In this video I show you exactly what you should pay attention to in a proper execution of a #portdebras 💃🏼 (meaning „carriage of the arms“ in French)

A proper port de bras in ballet requires coordination and control of several muscle groups, including:
1. Shoulder muscles: To maintain the rounded shape of the arms, the rotator cuff and deltoid muscles need to be engaged.
2. Back muscles: The upper back muscles, such as the trapezius and latissimus dorsi, help to support good posture and keep the arms moving in a smooth and fluid motion.
3. Core muscles: Engaging the core muscles, such as the obliques and rectus abdominis, helps to maintain stability and balance during the movement.
4. Arm muscles: The biceps, triceps, and forearm muscles also play a role in executing a proper port de bras, helping to control the fluid motion of the arms.
