Hi there, none of my 6 RLC-410-5MP shows up in the IOS app or the desktop client. All your website and all internet advice says to find the IP address of the camera is: just connect. Obviously, this can only work when all are in the same network. In order to adjust the network, I must first know the IP address of the camera so I can change the router and pc address. Catch 22.
Why does Reolink not have a default IP address range? Or do you? How can I find out the IP address of my cameras if they are not in the same network and do not show up in the app or client? And yes, I did reset the camera. Also used different IP scanners to no avail. In this state, my 6 cameras are useless.

I have no clue what your talking about . I’ve worked with pc for many years, my job is a CNC programmer . I’ve never understood this network stuff . Way too many strange words being thrown around without. Good solid explanation from the concept on forward .

Port forwarding seems like a bad idea in terms of security since everyone can acces it. How do we set up a secure and private connection to the camera system? Has reolink a 2fa available in app? Do you suggest using self hosted reverse proxy instead (does your NVR support docker to host for example NGINX)?

Would have been nice if you'd mentioned this doesn't work with specific cameras, eg - E1

Can you guys please show how to change CAMERA IP addresses (not NVR). I have 2 cameras with conflicting IP addressees and it keep auto assigning them with no option to modify IP addresses. Spent $100 on extra camera that I cannot use because of this issue.

There is no way to find the camera IP address on the client as of 2024. If you can, it's well hidden.

Please help me, I cannot view my Reolink camera with the app remotely. I can only view it when I'm at home and connected to the same network as the camera. When I use cellular data away, it will not work and either say "Live viewing failed" or "Connection failed"

This doesn’t say how to get individual camera IPs. The “camera IP” you are talking about is just the NVR address.

Network map on centurylink?? Didn't see it. "Please note, Reolink battery powered cameras don't support access via IP addresses" That's the problem??

Do I understand correctly, that if I purchased the NVR kit with 5 cameras, i.e RLC-812A, 842A, remote viewing won't work on the web browser. Does remote viewing work via NVR with these cameras please? Is there a video for the above mentioned NVR and cameras please? What cameras - numbers of cameras i.e. above if possible - can be viewed on the web browser please? Thank you for reading my question.I am hoping for an answer.

How to set up, to have access to Reolink App over internet, and all cameras witch you have set up in the app? Not only one camera at the time in the system, and setting up port forwarding for all cameras individually.
