Two weeks ago, I lost my beautiful Golden Retriever - Shadow. I genuinely felt I wanted to go with him when he slipped away. We were always together and now I walk around all day looking for him. No words can express how I feel. RIP old boy, you were my rock.

Had a golden lab, we had to put her down when she was 17. She could identify all her toys by name and she would find and fetch them whenever asked. Loved the frisbee. A very gentle natured dog. I really miss her.

The paper tearing reminded me of my beloved zeke. At Christmas, my son would open his presents and then zeke would tear the wrapping paper to bits. He was so excited, as if the paper were his presents. I've said this before, golden retrievers are pure love in a a dog suit

I’ve trained working dogs for 50 years: police, search and rescue, military, and service dogs for the disabled. Here in Hawai’i we get ALL from Australia. First time I have ever had a Golden. At age 3, I asked my vet--“When does he grow up?” NEVER--ya got a puppy for life. I have never laughed harder with this sweet boy! Terrible as a working dog, marvelous as a friend and companion!
