A portion of the Lamanite people are converted to Christianity. This new group calls themselves the Anti-Nephi-Lehies.

The events of the illustration are detailed in the 24th chapter of Alma in the Book of Mormon. The Lamanites plan to attack the traitors. The Anti-Nephi-Lehies know of this and bury their weapons as to not be tempted to take up arms; choosing to die rather than break their promise to god.

Book of Mormon has some glaring flaws, but is overall a good read. 9/10 biblical fanfic.
