In this video, Radio Zane of Simple Green Tech looks at how to use audio mixer to audio interface. It's not really an audio interface vs mixer video but more so using the sound mixer with an audio interface. I use to Behringer Mixers in this video: The Behringer Xenyx 1002 and the Behringer Xenyx 502. The audio interfaces used are the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 and the Behringer UM2. 4:18 - is it possible that you meant for the RCA tips to go into the IN and not the OUT on the Behringer in this step? The other end of that cable is plugged into the Scarlett LINE OUTPUTS, which means basically both ends of that cable are plugged into a device's output, which I can't make any sense of, audio chain-wise.

Hi Good Day, I did set up my Behringer U-Phoria UM2 Audio interface with a Hybrid ML1202DUSBX stereo mixer as for control room, but no sound. I am running my speakers through an amplifier. Any assistance please?

Hey Guys any advise would be greatly appreciated, I'm running a yamaha mg10 usb mixer with hs8's as monitors and as soon as I turn on any guitar amp modelling software it's makes this loud horrid sound, guessing a feedback loop but no idea how to correct it.

Hi I have 6i6 interface & Mackie 1202 _VLZ3 mixer I bought TRS cables two hook the mixer two the interface.also on the back of the interface it has two RCA jack I don't no if I can hook it up two the interface. Thank You

I’ve been looking for a tutorial on this a long time. How do you connect to the computer? The only way I know is out of the interface. So the order is mixer to interface to computer? How would you add an amplifier to be used to listen to recorded music without the amp affecting the signal going to the computer? In other words I want 2-way sound. First, recording using the setup you’ve shown, and second, music from the computer back through the amp to either my studio monitors or a second set of monster speakers I have? I guess if I want to play music from a tape player or external CD player I’d connect directly to the mixer? I’ve seen a new mixer, the Yamaha MG10XU which is supposed to be an interface and mixer in one. Does its interface has as good of quality as the Scarlet 2i2? I haven’t found anything tech- or review-wise about it’s pre-amp. But I already have an old Soundcraft Spirit Folio mixer that I could hook up using your method, to my interface. I have to get a new interface and was looking at the 2i2 or the Yamaha mixer. Thank you!

I wish to arrange a home recording studio. I have FOCUSRITE 8i18 (2nd Gen) audio interface (support Ableton DAW ) and Yamaha MG20XU mixer with USB port. I need to use both hardware with a common DAW software. Can you prefer ONE DAW software for FOCUSRITE 8i18 and YAMAHA MG20XU mixer. And also I need to know the computer configuration

Following you instructions for option 2 but with cables going from 2 track out to audio interface main outs ...no sound. Shouldn't it be into the 2 track in?

I've got the same mixer, but using an Presonus iTwo.

Any help would be great.

Why do you use audio interface with the mixer the mixer already has audio interface that is the USB port
