Pls for the love of God. Everyone I see doing carrier landings in this game is landing like the carrier itself is the runway. The wires and the ship itself are built so that you land on the MARKED runway. It is build like that so that if you miss the wires you can go around. Pls watch videos before you do that. The carrier is not completely runway. You land inside the marked runway.
