Unity3d Collisions with triggers and non-trigger colliders are explained in detail in this video. We go through and set the a ground collider to be of type trigger as well as non-trigger to be able to detect collisions OnTriggerEnter, OnTriggerExit, OnTriggerStay, OnCollisionEnter, OnCollisionStay, and OnCollisionExit.

All of the methods mentioned are explained and we watch the console while each event is triggered during collisions.
