Wow I never played either of the Shenmue games but after reading the story's of both and watching both ending and with this one especially I can see why people have been going bat shit crazy for a Shenmue 3 with a ending like that I would be pissed off too, but not anymore Shenmue 3 is happening Sega cancelled it at least twice but Yu Suzuki is taking charge and I'm pretty sure when I say that we cannot be happier

I just finished replaying Shenmue II today, and it was very sad to see tezt appear saying "The story goes on..." 12 years after its release. Shenmue is my favorite video game series and story, it's sad that it isn't complete, but I still have hope..

As bad as it sounds I can see Lan Di killing Shenhua at the end of Shenmue 3 and getting Phoenix Mirror from Ryo and setting up Ryo and Lan Di's final confrontation in Shenmue 4 at the end with Ryo finally defeating Lan Di but sparing his life because he doesn't want to become like him. Shenmue's story became a lot more than just revenge story.
