Synopsis by ChatGPT
"National Lampoon's European Vacation" is a comedy film released in 1985. It is the second installment in the "Vacation" film series and serves as a sequel to "National Lampoon's Vacation" (1983).

The film follows the misadventures of the Griswold family as they win a trip to Europe on a game show called "Pig in a Poke." Clark Griswold, played by Chevy Chase, his wife Ellen, portrayed by Beverly D'Angelo, and their children Rusty and Audrey, portrayed by Jason Lively and Dana Hill respectively, embark on a whirlwind tour of Europe.

As the Griswolds travel through various countries, including England, France, Germany, and Italy, they encounter a series of comedic mishaps, cultural misunderstandings, and hilarious encounters with eccentric characters. Clark's optimistic and bumbling nature often leads the family into awkward and humorous situations.

"National Lampoon's European Vacation" retains the comedic style and irreverent humor of the first film, while adding a European twist. The film parodies European stereotypes, tourist experiences, and the Griswold family's comedic interactions with locals and fellow travelers.

While the film received mixed reviews from critics, it remains popular among fans of the "Vacation" series and Chevy Chase's comedic performances. It embraces slapstick humor, outrageous sight gags, and the chaotic nature of family vacations.

"National Lampoon's European Vacation" provides a lighthearted and entertaining journey filled with laughs, showcasing the comedic chemistry of the Griswold family and their adventures abroad. It is a humorous and satirical take on the experience of American tourists in Europe and the challenges they encounter along the way.

Wow it's incredible to see how much more real estate is in this vs the ultrawide trailer. This one 0:14 "garconi" you can see so much more of the sky, and the actors' hands/more of the chair. Cool seeing what the editors have to work with!

I feel like these films look better in this aspect ratio, since it gives them a home movie vibe.
