Went to a lot of games at Atlanta Fulton Co Stadium. Including baseball for the 96 Olympics.

The 1996 Australian Olympic Baseball team had a memorable win over Japan on Fulton County stadium in the preliminary rounds of the 1996 event. Japan went on to take the Silver medal with Cuba winning Gold.

This site will always have a special place in my heart for its where my Blue Jays won the World Series in 1992! Nixon bunts, Timlin to Carter.

The hearse carrying Hank Aaron passed by the 715 home run marker after his death in 2021. I watched a video of it and it was very sad.

Philadelphia has a similar setup for where Veterans Stadium stood, although they indicated where goalposts for Eagles games stood. Didn’t notice that at the Atlanta Fulton County Stadium location

I was in town for a Braves game back in April that just happened to be the weekend before the 40th anniversary of Hanks 715th. My wife and I took a trip to the site of the old stadium and I had to take it all in. Also walked over to the old Turner field but the gates were locked.

Fulton County Stadium as you point out, was a cookie cutter design like 3 Rivers, Veterans Stadium and Busch. Their round and featureless shapes negatively compromised their use for baseball and football.
That said, this parking lot with the simulated outlines of the baseball field is terrific! Nice job on this video, dude!

Chicago did something similar when the original Comiskey Park was demolished in 1991. An outline of the ballpark has been painted in the north parking lot of its successor, Guaranteed Rate Field.

Jimmy Leyritz 3-run homerun in the 1996 World Series was the stadiums greatest moment. Why Wholers threw a breaking pitch I’ll never know but the Yanks won game 4, then game 5, and of course game 6 at Yankees Stadium three nights later. Great memories.

I’d love to see a video about St Lawrence asylum in Ogdensburg NY. It was massive for its time, and Americas first supermodel Audrey Munson was admitted here and passed away at age 104 after staying for 60+ years.


Not any documentaries of information exist sadly and I’d love to see one

I went to a Braves game at the old Turner Field in 1998 and i parked near the Hank Aaron home run marker. Would've been nice to catch a game in that old cookie-cutter!!
