Removing the embellishment from the glass really opened it up. That color is everything! Love it !

This is one of your strong points, Elysia. You are not afraid to say, "Nope. It's not what I was looking for." And then starting again. That humility leads to better results. Can't believe the difference in the yellow after a couple of coats! Love the shade it ended up becoming- kind of sunflower yellow. LOVE seeing the pictures on a white background and not half in one color and half in another color. This came out great! Enjoy!

The black was stunning in a magazine feature way. The white walls with the painted cabinet is home! I immediately felt happy and comfortable looking at it! I don't usually like yellow but I do like this version and can imagine bits of the same color as accents in the rest of your house. 👍👍👍😃💕

Beautiful! I love repurposing and refinishing furniture, not only for the beauty of the finished piece, but the story behind the piece. Where it was "found", who gave it to you and what it looked like before "loving" it.

Gorgeous once again. I know you give tips here and there but I'd love a video where you show how we can find our own style and colour scheme and how to put it together. I love so many styles and my house ends up being a mish mash of everything and nothing. I'm sure others have the same problem. How do I choose a style and stick to it at least for one room?

At first when I saw the yellow paint I panicked. I’m not a huge fan of yellow. I love how the cabinet turned out. The yellow is darker after it dried and it looks beautiful.!

This is like my dream dining room! I am in love with mustard yellow, forest green brown/ wooden and white/ cream. Something about it feels both clean and one with nature. The green and wood are the plants, and the yellow is like the sun warming the room. Can you please do a video on how to dress/ style a space? I feel like I have most of the right items but it still seems either incomplete or cluttered. Thanks Elysia.🥰

Elysia, you have an excellent eye for balance when decorating a room. No cluster of heavy furniture or pictures in one location, no crowding of same colors in one place but not the other. The somewhat startling and "heavy" mustard china cabinet is toned down and balanced by small pops of yellow in other parts of the room: the throw on the bench, the table runner, the smoke vases on the dresser, the potted plants on the table, etc. Even the pictures on the wall are excellently placed. Your furniture is pleasingly distributed about the room in a comfortable and inviting way. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, and just a little bit old-fashioned in a good way. These things contribute to the many favorable compliments you've been receiving from your fans. I heartily agree with them!

Excellent decision. Room looks amazing. At first I didn't think I was going to like the yellow on the china cabinet. But I waited till it was completed. And now it's beautiful gives the room just what it needed. You always do amazing work. God bless you and your family.
