Today we are starting in on the dining room which happens to be surrounded by rooms we've already completed here on the channel. It's time to make this gathering space an area where I can work in the day, host in the evenings and utilize whenever I need to just sit at a table, ya know?! What do you think so far?

I’ve always loved that you never hesitate to paint over or start again when something isn’t “quite right”. Too often, people will just live with it and will be forever explaining what they were “really going for”.

I never tape off the glass if I’m painting window trim or door trim. I paint it and get way in to the line between glass and wood. When completely dry, I run a sharp razor blade down the line, then run it flat down and I get the cleanest line and window possible. It saves so much time.

I love how good the bookcase looks on its side! That would make a great base for a credenza or sideboard. The room is looking great so far! Everyone needs a Justin in their life!

Drew, I love that color! Sometimes my husband will paint a room, where we both pick out the color, sometimes it's a hit or miss. You nailed it! You work so hard, and Justin is such a good friend to help you!! Painting is hard work, but you guys make it look so easy! Those chairs are to die for! I feel like there are so many 16th and 17th century elements in the house -- the larger kitchen for one, the fireplace for another, and now the dining room with the amazing table and chairs. Bravo, Drew! Hitting it out of the park! 😀💜💥👍

Love the dining chairs ! When we entertain we sit at the table and it has to be comfortable.

It looks like beautiful parchment paper and I love the dark woods. Even though you get a lot of light etc I personally love dark tones and rooms and how warm, cosy and comfortable I feel in them and not many people take the chance on deeper and darker tones. I get very little natural light in my present house and apart from being unable to keep plants alive in there it isn’t an issue at all. It always has a lovely glow.

you could use that bookcase as a sideboard in your dining room. Laying on its side, its the right height for a side board. add cleats and shelves to keep it open storage or find doors/ hinges to create closed storage.
