When your close friend moves away…

I still feel so bad for my friend. I moved away in 2020, haven’t seen him since.

this is so true bro. i met this girl in 4th grade. we got closer over the years. now she’s saying that her family is moving to another state at the end of summer. we still have the whole summer ahead of us, but just thinking of her leaving brings me to tears. and whenever she brings it up, all i can say is, “no, you can’t leave!” she is literally my day 1. i love her so much.

i’m in a similar situation rn. I’m in a best friend group, 5 of us (one of them goes and comes so) anyways let’s call the one leaving N. She said last month her mom died if she wants to move schools and obviously she said no, but now she said she wants to start a new life. I’m devastated. Like for about 5 minutes i’ve been texting her begging and convincing her to stay, and then telling her why she’s amazing and everything. She’s been saying thank you and everything then the topic changed randomly. Then whenever i bring up her leaving she doesn’t respond. She said she’ll try stay for the group and I don’t know what to say for her to stay. But i can’t force someone to, at the end of the day, it’s their actions.
