@klubhead I agree. Soon as they expand their app market I'll give it a try for sure. In the end making calls sending and receiving texts is what counts the most anyway

Never owned a blackberry device, have always been on android. Am using a Gnex right now and loving it. Yet, the way bb10 operates is really compelling to me. I'd love to have all of my messages in one central hub and I'm one of those guys who really only use a handful of apps. If I could always switch between those apps quickly, as I can in bb10, that appears to be rather neat.
Dunno if their implementation really works for me, though. Gotta try it.

Looks like it has potential, and the hardware seems nice, but I don't think it'll be competitive for another few revisions.

First Bob 10 video.. how much will it cost off contract? An it way better than all previous bb but no way it can touch base on Samsung galaxies

excuse me, although they don't mention it often... blackberry is a business inclined phone, that focuses on what it needs of someone who is looking for a comfortable work efficient phone. They also said the bb10 is focusing on the experience for a reason. it does not focus primarily on innovation but takes good things from around the market and makes the experience better.

A perfect project managers phone. I'm keen to try it... But admittedly am tempted to stick with the Galaxy's after just looking into the S4

I moved from Blackberry with a solid keyboard to Android with touch. Using the Swift Key keyboard for android I find I type faster than I ever did with the Blackberry. Touch screen typing takes getting used to, but after a while becomes second nature.

I don't own nexus 7, I have a HTC Evo phone running android & I use multitasking all the time, meaning switching from multiple apps, email, browser without having to close any of them in the process, this can also be done on iphone easily. Again multitasking doesn't make this phone special. I'm not sure about nexus 7 but on my phone all you do is hold the home button for about a second & all the windows pop up for all the applications running then you can easily scroll through them.

@Troy Bauman I thought so at first too, but seeing it turned on it is a nice screen and the top and bottem "spaces" do give it a classy look....still one can't help but imagine the screen if they used the entire face.

Hey Kevin, that's really objective and professional hands on. Your optimism shines in comparision to Verge's video. Phil, let him in more often!

Wouldn't you get sick of the same gestures? UI wise the icons and transitions don't scream out either.

Hmm why didnt RIM put a quadcore chip in the Z10 ? It has 2gb of ram but still uses a dual core processor. The phone looks great though.

The fact you can get android apps ported over is a big win tbh. But going to give it a good few months till I jump ship as all previous models have had really bad hardware and software issues and personally I've had z3 bolts in a space of one year.

how did you get so many smartphones?
where do you get all this money?

It's difficult to use because you always need to slide from the Blackberry button.

@Stance TL Well that is opinion based, I think the BB10 owns the Nexus 4. The Hub is next gen, Apps are not an issiue, super fast phone, Gives you choice with ports, What is not to like?

The phone looks great. The only concern is that I haven't seen anything that would make me want to switch back from my current platform. Hopefully they unveil new features before release date on February 5th. The competition can only be good for us the consumers regardless of your allegiance (iOS, Windows Phone or Android)

This brings so much nostalgia back from my Blackberry Curve days. I think this is a great new OS. I'm gonna have to admit it's tempting over Android.

What other mobile operating system allows for multitasking?
