As asked to find (47)², I'll try to find it in two ways acc. to the video so as to satisfy the tricks, which are as follows:-

• Trick 1 (No.s close to 50):-

Step 1 (digits on left)-
There's a rule in this trick that we have to take 25 at it's digits on left and add or subtract according to the number given, i.e let us consider this very case, where 47 is 3 lesser than 5, which implies that we have to subtract 3 from 25, which gives us 22 as our digits on left.

Step 2 (digits on right):-
Now, we know that there's a difference of 3 between 50 and 47, which implies that we have to get the square of the difference which we get in this procedure, i.e the square of 3 in this case and that too in two digits, i.e we know that 3² or 3×3=9, which is this case will be written as 09 at digits on right.

Hence, considering steps 1 & 2, we get 2209 as our answer.

•Trick 2 (square of any no.):-

Step 1(Individual squaring of digits):-
In this trick, firstly we have to individually take out the square of both the digits, i.e square of 4 and 7 individually in this case, which will give us a number 4²7² or 1649.

Step 2:-(product of digits with square no.)
Now, we have to take out the product of the digits, along with its square number, i.e in case of 47², we have to do 4×7×2, which gives us 56.

Step 3:-(addition with neglection):-
Considering the steps 1 & 2, we've got 1649 and 56 respectively. Now, we have to add both of these, but we also have to keep in mind that we have to ignore the units' place, i.e we have to keep a zero at the end of 56, so as to ignore the units' place, which gives us 560. Finally, we have to add 1649 with 560, which again gives us 2209 as our answer.
