good job, i like how you portrayed Ophelia! she is one of my favourite characters of Hamlet cause i clearly see her story as a tragedy in itself. She is a victim of manipulative and abusive behavior and i think it's really worth it to dive deeper into the message her death represents))

Excellent!!!! An in - depth analysis. All the salient traits of her character are brought out clearly. What is most striking is her helplessness, lack of freedom in a patriarchal

i love how you portrayed Ophelia from the many different perspectives yet solidifying in an empathetic effort her conscience efforts throughout the play to not be defined by those around her, it was very refreshing icl thank you!!

for those who don't know. It's not a matriachy but a patriarchy meaning the men are the primary of everything. they are a primary parent, protector, provider, leader, teacher, decision maker, inventors. women on the other hand are their helpers/assistants. for example, men are the teacher, and women are the teacher's assistants.

Her father is a primary parent, meaning his job is to ensure they have the BEST chance of surviving and thriving. When he tells her something it is in her best interest. If the girl doesn't know what to do, she goes to her father. If she needs help deciding something, she goes to her father. If she wants to learn something, she goes to her father. It's a patriarchy.
