I'm really looking forward to the mindmap of Hamlet and Tempest. Also, if the video analyzing Miranda, aerial, Prospera, and so on has BGM these videos will be awesome. Finally, l really hope for the return of videos of analysis of Hamlet, Laertes, Claudius, Polonius

Gertrude is the not-so-wise(this is a lie) but Hamlet’s maternal-filled guardian(this is truth) She is fooled by the sweet and dominating words given by Claudius, also due to her misconception of protecting her and her son’s position in a turbulent Waring dynasty by marrying her husband’s brother, whom she does not know is unreliable.
But criticizing her seems to ignore the fact that her unjust society does not allow her to make choices due to the absurd feudal law called” step marriage”. If she does not marry Claudius, she does not meet the greed of the killer. Hamlet will most likely be the next victim killed by treacherous Claudius. Shegives blessings to Ophelia in hopes that her virtue can bring back rationality for Hamlet to cure him. Also, after knowing from Prince Hamlet that old Hamlet is upright and competent in protecting Denmark while Claudius either indulges in lavish parties or secretly spies or murders people who dislike him, even his kin, she starts to change her act from obeying Claudius into secretly defying him, When Ophelia turned mad, unlike Claudius who calm her just for the fright of the truth in her madness that may expose his treachery, Gertrude is hoping that his son can marry the intelligent girl he loves more than thousands of her brothers.
Her purpose is to care for Hamlet, from the beginning when she asks Hamlet to stay in Denmark is merely worries Hamlet’s negative emotions may drag him into irrational behavior that may harm himself, which has been proven by Hamlet’s one-sided obedience to his mother instead of his uncle. But her act is often legitimately depicted as unloyalty, and lots of her acts like drinking the poison vague as to whether her intention, or just unconscious, but it is true if she told Claudius that Hamlet told her that the new fake king or Claudius, has killed his father, Claudius would certainly use evil more vicious method, such as mimicking how Antonio banished Prospero at midnight, but instead of sending him to sea, Claudius’s savages will throw him into the sea. Also, Gertrude does not intend to show harshness when Hamlet asks her, because she is being instructed by Claudius’s claw, even Polonius tells the queen that it is due to her that Claudius did not use extreme procedures on Hamlet in the beginning. When Gertrude begs Hamlet not to continue to reveal the evil, she starts to know the truth told by Hamlet. Maybe Gertrude can never imagine how cruel a traitor can be, she knew her husband’s death would be followed by her son’s unnatural death if she just simply let Hamlet be the new king, but she never knew his father ‘s uncle could be such savage and barbarian to his bloodline. Now she knows the truth, and she did not reveal to Claudius that Hamlet intended to kill the fake king, so she says that Hamlet accidentally killed a snobbish counselor, in other words, she tries to protect Hamlet by blaming the “whisperer behind the curtain” ‘s death as his madness, not his revenge, trying to fool her husband. “She knew Claudius would certainly know the truth, but she told other people to leave in order not to further hurt Hamlet.
Furthermore, she puts Claudius in a false sense of security by saying that Hamlet is mad.
Since Claudius may think that Hamlet may not be able to have logical or rational plans in his INSANITY,
the fake king takes less cautious acts when sending Hamlet to sea,
unlike the fatal night on Titanic which the binoculars were used to discover the iceberg ahead,
this time, the box hiding the letters was not unlocked, which gave Hamlet a chance to return from the death in England.
When Laertes sends a group of street fighters to strike Claudius’s forces, why Gertrude seemingly is on the side of Claudius? First, although Ophelia’s brother’s passion for justice is undeniable, he can be manipulated easily because of his less calculative character, and his enslavement by deceptive Claudius is certain, also, Hamlet indeed killed the king’s counselor, although his intention was absolute the opposite of what Laertes thought. Second, showing her superficial loyalty to Claudius can further chain up his treachery. The fake king’s desire for sex will force him to compromise Gertrude’s love for her son to some extent, buying Hamlet more time.
