This is just them trying to sell more expensive full suspension. Hardtails are great for everything especially if you're a beginner

i use a hard tail and i don't know why but going over bumpy trails seem more fun that using a full suspension mainly because hard tails keep you more aware and you have to play close attention to were your next move will be.

I feel telling newbies to get a full suspension is there way of getting people to buy more expensive bikes. Right now I'm on a lower end Trek hardtail and found that it has caused me to upgrade my skills to make up for the bike. I am currently about to buy a new Remedy or Fuel Ex but I think the hardtail is key in forcing you to learn key skills that will make you that much better on a full suspension. Also, I've taken this hardtail down downhill ski trails before, while I was much faster and safer on the rental dh bike anything is possible on a hardtail

I have got 3 bikes: fulls suspension for downhill and freeride, hardtail daul bike for 4x, dual slalom and dirt jumps, and one hardtail mtb xc bike for riding to work :). In my opinion it's really hard to find bike for everything so I decided to have a three bikes. Have a nice day!

I hated this. It was very biased and claimed that hardtails are only for beginners and they cant be ridden well on rough terrain, totally not true.

"All mountain bikes have suspension"
WRONG!

"However" just buy both if you're a true MTBer 😉 N+1

I have a hardtail and full suspension I prefer my hardtail because it feels right for me but anyway a bike is a bike

I just bought a Full Suspention bike because I have way more fun with it, than with a hardtail. Im not riding crazy trails or so and Im doing wheelies most of the times. Its just so smooth and chilled :D

Thank you! Now when I go into the bike shop with all the super cool looking pricey bikes, I'll kinda know what the heck I'm talking about. This was handy.

For starters I would definetly recommend hardtails because it’s way easier to learn basic techniques such as bunny hops or jumping

I love my hardtail, sure a full suspension would be nice sometimes but i do fine on my hardtail.

Do pivots on the rear suspension wear out at some point and you have to change your frame ?
