I used to have a German Shepherd and he was like a little human. He was strong, smart, respected people's spaces and easy to train. My boyfriend has a pitbull who is not as smart, requires lots of exercise, wants to be petted all the time, takes over your space and is too needy. He is very loving as I learned more about pitbulls that are very sweet but is not my favorite breed.

I have a purebred German Sheperd & my daughter owns a Pitt. My German was easier to train, wanted to please. The Pitt was more stubborn & less focused on pleasing . The Pitt is a sweet, loving couch potato . Does not require as much exercise. My Shepard requires a lot more! My Shepard is actually way more protective than my daughters Pitt . But .. people are more scared of my daughters Pitt just from his looks. I love them both, but would always choose a shep over a Pitt any day

I've owned both and both are amazing. Any dog is a good dog as long as they're raised well.

Pitbull allergies are a lot to deal with but when I've seen its on neglected dogs. Everyone should brush their dog every day along with giving them attention and walking them. Keep your yard clean for your pets and dont make them walk around in their own poo and they won't have as bad of skin problems. Also feed them well.

No two dogs breeds get along better in the same household than a GSD, & a PitBull. Two Pits might be be challenging with other dogs. But a GSD, & PitBull, 2 canine combo is a perfect match for any household. It’s like a preset, or genetically auto wired arrangement that suits both breeds. From my experience the GSD keeps ‘em check, & the Pitbull (not that they need it) will go to war for its GSD friend, & vice versa.

American pit bull terrier for me. Not these bulky, oversized, so called “pit bulls”. The perfect specimen. A great balance of lean physique and muscle. That’s the real “og” pit bull. But I totally understand the the love for the German Shepard. Both are great dogs if trained and socialized properly
