R.I.P. Frank Wycheck. Best TE to ever play for the Oilers-Titans team. At the time of his retirement, Wycheck’s 505 receptions was 4th all-time among TEs in the NFL. Oilers-Titans Hall of Fame #89.

Best line was from a Canadian at the gym in Vancouver where I saw that ending: "That's what you get for not starting Flutie, eh!"

I miss Newt Gingrich as the coach of the Bills.

I only got into NFL in the last year. Went to America as a Falcons fan as two of my mates I went with both support them, but I left a Titans fan because when we were in Nashville I went to LP Field and the ground staff let me in and took a photo of me and my mate in the empty ground. They were really friendly so that's now my team and I'm going over next year for a game

For the record, the camera angle makes it look a lot MORE like a forward pass than it actually is. Just sayin'

I don't know how... but Wycheck threw a damn curveball with a football lol

Look people, it's not where the players are, it's where the ball leaves the passer's hands and where it is when it hits the receiver' hands. It's very clear that it was a legal lateral pass, granted it was only by inches, but still legal.

What a pass by frank!! First year as a team, was the best season!! Sure miss that season, we lost the super bowl to Warner and the rams, lost the game by like 5 FUCKING inches, heartbreaking

Wow, 20 years I'm finally ready to admit that was not a forward lateral...

The only people that still think this was a forward pass are Bill's fans or people that clearly don't know the rules.

Less than a year after "No Goal", that's rough

Even after its been proven over and over to be a legit lateral there are still people who claim it was forward. Ive seen the overhead angle on the lateral so many times and have yet to see the ball going forward. Bills fans and all the other doubters need to give it up and admit defeat

After viewing it at 1:15, how the fuck do people honestly still think it was a forward pass? I'm not a Titans fan. But it was very clearly a lateral.

Listen, I'm a Titans fan and thought we got away with one, but after watching where the ball was thrown and caught in slow-mo; That was a Great call by the refs, and a Historic play by the Titans.💯👏

Based on where the ball was it's pretty obvious that it was a lateral. Frank Wycheck (the thrower) is about 5-8 inches behind the line the line when he throws it. His forward foot is lined up pretty well with his shoulder. Now if we do a bit of research we can learn more. Wycheck's listed height is 6-3 (75 inches). On average, a person will have a wingspan the same length as their height. In this case, one of Wycheck's arms would be about 37.5 inches. It's unlikely that he had a wingspan exactly 75 inches, but it's pretty reasonable to assume that his throwing arm is somewhere in the 35-40 inch range. Again, taking into account that Wycheck was 5-8 inches behind the line, there's no way that even a 35-inch arm, nearly completely extended, couldn't make it the 5-8 inches to be beyond the line when he made the throw. The ball ultimately was barely across the line. But Wycheck could easily have stretched his arm more than halfway to the next yard line (the 26 yard line?)

Solid use of Goldeneye’s ‘Big Head’ cheat code for that animation.

the Titans would have only tied the Rams in Superbowl 34 if they scored on the last drive, so they missed tying by one yard but lost

Not a fan of either team.  Rule is position of ball must go backwards.  Player position does not matter.  So it was a lateral

15 years later Buffalo has yet to be back in the playoffs.  This play literally broke the team.
