There's just something about seeing a solid block of metal being squished like putty

You'll be pleased to hear that most of BLOODHOUND is manufactured here in the UK.
We did look for a UK supplier to do this but the few big presses we still have in this country are set up for steel. Apparently the cost and time of changing them to work with aluminium for the small batch of BLOODHOUND wheels wasn't viable.
Otto Fuchs make the discs for jet engines every day, so they are pretty much industry leaders and wheels are certainly something you don't want to fail!

True art and coordination between two individuals for them to come out with hand precision while not truly using their hands.

That press is unbelievable. Truly fascinating. I would have liked even more detail though.

I like to weld aluminum. For car projects mostly...this is an amazing perspective to see such a large billet forging manipulated like play doh. Mind blowing.

greatest 'forklift' driver ever

It just goes to show, that even in today's environment of mass produced crud, there's still room for craftspeople. I love truly well made, over engineered stuff.

I would love to see the entire process, that looks so neat!

Super film chaps. That press is just FANTASTIC.
How will the gyroscopic forces affect the car?

That's the biggest power hammer I've ever seen. Kudos to that billet handler, too

The guy who manipulates the billet is just as amazing as that press.

Just wow. All pressed with a driven forklift. Wow.

If the total energy of conventional forging and pressing process is added it will be much higher than if the whole process was done by aluminum steam injection under high pressure and subsequent cooling for high-power magnetic field.

Seriously wtf how did someone build that monster? The forces involved are just mind boggling.

Could u plz explain why the nose of the car is pointed rather than being round

That press, just dear god I expected the force of it to rip up the concrete around it.
