YouTube TV finally has everything I need to cut the cord

Recent changes to YouTube TV have left it with more content but at a higher price. CNET's Logan Moy ran the math to see if its new offerings were enough for him to finally give up cable television.

Update: It's been almost a month since I subscribed to YouTube TV and cancelled cable. Some thoughts...
-The cost of my Internet package ended up being $5 more outside of the bundle than I expected, but I don't have to pay taxes on Internet service (at least where I live) so the total cost to the ISP is $70 flat.
-For the first month's charges, I did not have to pay taxes on YouTube TV. Remains to be seen if that will change for the second month, but I'm not expecting it.
-While I understand not everyone enjoys the live TV experience, I do, and this is the best live TV interface I've ever used (cable, satellite or streaming).
-I'm saving a few dollars from cable, but I would not consider it a cheaper alternative. If you want a better version of traditional cable for a comparable price, I recommend giving YouTube TV a shot.

I know for a lot of people $65 can be extremely expensive, but honestly my regular cable through Xfinity was recently upped to $125. It's utterly absurd and I'm really considering switching the youtube. 65 may not be a total plummet in price, but it's still half what I pay for basically the same exact service. I just broke up with YouTube tv over this price hike.. I only had it because it was the cheapest option with my local channels.. now it’s not.. I miss the days when cutting the cord helped save money..

I'm so cutting the cord. I just got my cable bill for this month and there was a rate increase. So for Sparklight, standard 75-channel cable with DVR, taxes & fees my bill was $199.00! Only $55.00 of that is my internet. My cable is $144.00. Un-freakin-believable! I'm absolutely switching to YouTube TV. Thank you for this video.

Imagine creating a TV streaming service, meant to cut the cord and the cost, just to nearly DOUBLE the price from it's initial launch years ago 🙃

I started using Youtube Tv when it was $25. I loved it! When it went to $35 I cringed but hung in there. I was out at $50 and haven't looked back. I put an antenna in my attic, backfed the signal to all of my TV's and use Amazon Recast for my DVR. I'm very happy but Yes I don't have any of the calbe channels. That's fine for me.

It’s amazing how many people in this comment section don’t understand that everyone is allowed to purchase what matches their needs.

I have youtube premium, Hulu, Netflix, Internet, 4 phones & 2 iPads & it’s perfect for my family. I have directv ultimate just to sign in & watch sports & it’s honestly about to not be worth it. $65 is perfect for me.
