I Fully Embarrassed Myself in Zoom Class

Like almost every other kid, Ness has spent a ton of time doing the distance learning thing - zoom class after zoom class - and usually without a problem. She had classes with other random ninth graders and they all got matched up based on what courses they were taking. After first semester she thought she was fully a master of zoom class. She'd seen a couple of storytime videos on YouTube where crazy stuff happened in online learning classes, embarrassing stuff, and she promised herself to be careful.

Second semester of freshman year started and she wound up having french class first thing in the morning. The french teacher wanted the class to work on small group projects and so she put them all into breakout rooms with groups of five or six other kids. Now, Ness has a cat - kind of a grumpy cat - and he never meows, well, only when he is hungry, and so naturally Ness Meows at him, tries all sorts of things to get this cat to react, but he won't.

Ness is in her zoom breakout class and she turns off the video for a minute so she can stretch out. And, her grumpy cat just happened to be in her room, and so she just started stretching and doing what she always did, meowing and making all kinds of noises to try to get her cat to care, and on top of that, because she was stretching, the sounds were even louder and weirder than usual.

When she was done, she looked at her screen and saw HER MIC WAS ON!!!! She had only turned off her video and had forgotten to turn off her mic. Everyone in the zoom class was cracking up and Ness was so embarrassed, fully embarrassed. Not only that, but her teacher had dropped into the breakout group and she looked really mad.

Ness didnt know what to do, she slammed her hand down on the keyboard to turn the mic off, and again, she thought she had, but actually she hadn't, and she threw herself on the floor and screamed at the top of her lungs. And everybody heard, everybody. They were cool about it, and the teacher had already left the zoom class, but still, so embarrassing.

I remember once I was doing a live class but I was using my ipad and I watched anime on the tv while the meeting played on the ipad and I said to my brother “Oh my god, i’m a goddamn genius. Now I don’t have to sit on my ass all day in my room.” I didn’t realize my mic was on until the teacher asked “So, you’re a genius huh?” LMAO
