How To Wire Trailer Brakes

The box allows anyone replacing a trailer plug, or if you are like me and building a trailer, to easily install the plug and troubleshoot all the wiring connections without having to cut wires apart. When there is an issue the junction box is a perfect inspection point to figure out were the wiring issue is coming from.

Hmmm, what I noticed is that the dude drives a Dodge truck that’s gonna pull a Datsun rear end while wearing a Chevrolet shirt .
I have a Chevy Duramax and I pull a 14’ landscaping trailer.
I bought her used but in the first day the brakes locked up and they let go afterwards .
Then I kept on having fuses being blown . So I still have to make time to install all new wiring along for the side marker lights that the trailer has .
I have some questions.
Since my trailer lights ride real high how do I wire them to add new lights if I keep the ones that sit high and add newer ones that are shorter along with installing those bars of light bars that display all of the same features of regular lights . That way at night it’s very visible what direction my flashers are flashing .
My main concern will be to know that my brakes are working .

So are the brakes working getting signal from brake lights? When you press brake on tow vehicle it sends signal to lights and those will trigger trailer brakes? . Does it need brake controller at all then?

I know that I made the mistake putting car/truck tires on a trailer. Trailer tires should be used, they have more steel belts in the side walls to keep the tire from flexing. Makes a difference when weight is in the trailer.
