Im confused about the red wire. He said at about 1:17 that when the pedal is pushed the brake light switch sends a signal to the brake controller which then sends a signal through the red wire to the trailer brakes. Shouldn't the red wire send a signal to the trailer brake lights and not the brakes themselves as sending power to the brakes would be the function of the blue wire?

Does the blue wire which is the brake activation on the trailer, also connect to the brake stop light on the trailer?
