Under $20?! Can we talk about how insane those _drugstore_ prices are? Covergirl mascara well over 10 bucks? L'Oreal approaching 20. Am I really the only one who thinks that's absolutely mad? A drugstore mascara should be well under ten dollars, closer to 5.

I've been wearing mascara for a long time ... I'm surprised to see that drugstore mascara's are getting over priced too, the only mascara I've seen that is still reasonable is the Essence brand 🙂 The mascara I've been wearing is the Milani Highly rated mascara 🥰 This mascara removes easily with warm water, no clumps or smudges in this gem. My eyes are very sensitive and this mascara doesn't irritate them at all. Thank you Shelly for a great video and Ziva is adorable . Take care everyone 🌹

OK, returning to this now that I have purchased and tried the Wet n Wild So Defined. You are right--it is better than Big Poppa! I love it, thank you so much for this video; I had never even heard of the So Defined. Yes, the brush is a little poky and scratchy, but that's how it digs down and applies the product at the root so well! I have the same lash goals that you do--thick at the root, then fanned out. This mascara does the job, and gives me some lift, too, which I need more as I get older. I have Sjogren's Syndrome, so my eye doctors really insist that I throw out mascara at 8 weeks. So lower-priced mascaras make the most sense. No way I want to toss a $26 or $32 mascara after 2 months!

My newest drugstore fave is elf's tubing mascara, Lash Xtndr. No smudging, it nicely lengthens my lashes and washes off easily. I recently tried the new Maybelline Firework formula as I love their Sky High. It was too wet and the tip of the wand is too wide so I always end up splattering mascara on my eyelids. 🤨 it's literally a guaranteed mess waiting to happen. The wand is also super flexible, even more so than the Sky High so it makes a mess. Not a fan. 😕 L'Oreal's Telescopic is one of my favorites but I don't use it on my lower lashes because it smudges a bit. It's a good 'everyday' mascara.

Your left side looked much better with the cover girl. A lot more volume 2. Your rt eye sooo much fuller with wet n Wild 3.left eye so much better. 4. Left eye 💯 % for L’Oréal. Great drugstore mascara comparison. Great video thank you Shelly oops 6. Your left eye for sure. Gorgeous

Hi Shelly. I can't believe how costly drugstore products have gotten.
I've never tried a Wet N Wild mascara. I know that you like the Big Poppa.
I'm wirh you. I don't like the plastic applicators. They hurt!
The Fireworks looks really nice.
The What's Up Beauty mascara is gorgeous.
Right now, my two favorite mascaras are the Rare Beauty and the Fenty.
Covergirl to me, still has the best drugstore mascara.

I always end up throwing half my mascaras away because I don't wear them often enough, mini's work well for me.

thanks for sharing. I LOVE tarte sugar rush lash treat, and can't really find it anywhere anymore except in bundles. That weird type of wand with one side long bristle/other side short, really made my lashes long, defined, and held some fan/curl. It just to remove. micellar water for days, and forget about any cleanser or soap.

Not even in a minute but Ulta has 2 mascaras I like - one is a “lifter” and the other is their tubing mascara… I think they’re less than $15.00 each.

I’ll watch & see if they’re included.

I have Firework and Panorama and hands down prefer the Panorama! I let my friend borrow them both and she also loves the Panorama! I prefer a pokey plastic brush because my lashes need help staying separated! Falsies Surreal was a total disappointment for me. Essence Lash Princess would be my usual daily go to, but L'Oreal always reigns supreme over CoverGirl or Maybelline for me😂

Hi Shelley I really struggle with mascara due to allergies and rosacea causing dry eye (aka constantly teary eyes 😢). I’ve given up on “normal” mascara and tubing mascara (all those warm wet tears make it fall off). I need something budgeproof that doesn’t make my lashes brittle and for that I ended up looking to K beauty mascara. I’m currently using the Clio kill cover mascara and it’s been great. I use the Bioderma sensibio biphase eye makeup remover (IMO better than the Lancome and far less expensive) to remove it easily. My oil cleanser will remove it but the eye makeup remover does it quickly and easily by comparison. I tried several tubing mascaras from both Far East and Western brands and they all flaked off on me (the newer Elf one was pretty bad for this). The Clio is well under 20$ on Amazon as well as many other retailers. It has a slim wand which I prefer with my hooded eyes and is very black. Due to the shape of the wand you can get to the root of the lashes and the lower lashes easily (might replace your lower lash current expensive EL favourite). Best wishes x

Telescopic looks so good on you! On myself, I don't really love it. Strange how especially mascara can be so different from person to person.

I use the Panorama as basically a topcoat over the Essence Lash Princess to avoid the smudge factor with the Essence. The Essence has always made my lashes look best, but I couldn't abide the smudging.

I wonder if you have experience with how these mascaras wear. Flaking and smudging is a really significant factor for me even when the product looks great on application.
