lol remember when radiation and the lack of rad-x and rad-away was actually something that scared fallout players?

I like the way that Oxhorn narrates as though he is learning things as the characters do. Leads to moments with him saying things like "I didn't think the pre-war world could get any darker" while we're all thinking about Vault-tec saying "hold my beer."

I fondly recall reading these lore-rich terminals (more than once), along with my conversation with Zax, when everything finally clicked. I remember saying “....oh ... my .... god ....” out loud in horror and disbelief when finally realizing what was happening. What an incredible Fallout moment, I’ll never forget it. I appreciate you taking the time on this series, I sure am enjoying reliving it!

5:30 “Let’s read it in a place where we’re not being constantly irradiated”, -- READS THE BOOK INSTANTLY!

The glow. The place with so much equipment that we can't carry it all but it's a great place to update our character's gear for the second half of the game.

Jeez, did Black Isle know how to write lore or what? That explanation for the FEV around 42:30 was just awesome.

About the Sterile Many animals when contacted with FEV didn't become sterile. Quite opposite. Scorpions, Mantises and Rats breeded faster after FEV exposure. That's why there are so many of them in the games.

Intelligent raccoons and a minigun. Yep, still alive and guarding the galaxy.

Is it just me or does Zax look like a massive fusion core?

It's really fun seeing how the themes so common in fallout nowadays were introduced so subtly in the early games. Stuff like aliens and sentient AI.

17:08"Could this mean that aliens are real? And United States government know about it?"
Trust no one mister Mulder.

This underground facility was probably a priority target. And so the enemy must have launched a nuclear bunker buster on it. This explains what I did not get when I played this game as a child.
At the time I just assumed it was some mystical hole.
This games were very coherent.

34:31 Hey Ox, those computers are not running on microfilm tapes but on magnetic tapes. And those units are not computers but just readers (something like big old fancy tape decks :D)
I love you finally starting to dig into original fallout lore :) I just found original CDs of fallout 1&2 from 1999 :D

The glow huh?
A wise man said this about glowing:

*”Well, I grew up near Dayglow out west, so yeah, I grew a third nut that glows in the dark!”-Ricky, all American Hero*

oxhorn... right click (or maybe hold click?) chems in the inventory to use them without equipping them. there's a way to use items in the inventory without having to equip them.
