I really want more conventional REDFOR; a legit Iran faction (no, the MEA doesn’t count), North Korea, and even Venezuela. A rework of the existing PLANMC faction is in order as well.

France (especially the Legion Etranger), Germany, and Japan are going to be really cool. Although seeing the mix of US and Russian hand-me-downs in Ukrainian service would be neat.

I wish devs would have left Ukraine out because of how it skewed the votes in favor of the "making a statement" side and not in the "Cool, we get to choose a group of guys with a set of equipments. Let's choose wisely.".

i really wish people didnt choose this in the poll. its not really going to add any new weapons/vehicles. we have enough factions already using ak's, bmp's, btr's. even if they add bradleys and what-not. nothing ukraine has is special. plus, there is already a mod that does ukraine very well.

Honestly feel like OWI added Ukraine to the poll just so they can copy and paste a majority of the already existing in game assets (with minimal tweaks/effort) just to gain favor by showing us the whole “look we’re giving you another new faction, we’re working so hard on this game” approach. It seems derivative and lazy.

Pre-Invasion 2022 would be the best balance of uniqueness and preserving an identity, circa 2010 would be reskinned militia post invasion would be a mish mash of equipment in game too vast to replicate and would just mean a "lazy" faction reusing assets currently in game.
But lets be honest out of all the options UKR is the least interesting, real event aside, the other 3 have a lot more unique and interesting gear plus Japan also brings more maps to the game based on the pacific biome.
But regardless it just so happens that all 4 factions are being made as mods and are all somewhat related in one way or another to the Tactical Collective team, what a funny coincidence...

Okay, here's a list of weapons that will fit into the setting of the game and that are not yet represented in the game:
T-64BV main battle tank(A very good tank, tested in real war, Ukrainian tankers love it for its low profile, maneuverability and good armor)
BTR-4E(BTR with 30mm cannon(2A72 30mm autocanon or 2! 2A7M 23mm autocanon) deeply modernized by Ukraine
a large number of armored combat vehicles aka MRAP Varta, Kozak, Novator, Kraz with a large number of combat modules
TOW "Stugna"
Vulkan M assault rifle for infantry
UAR 15 for marksman or Z-10
FPV drones ofc...
This is what I mentioned, if you remove FPV from the list, it will even be like the Ukrainian army in 2014-2015

It's a poll, everyone chill tf out. They can just sweep it under the rug if the poll results weren't what they expected. In fact, I think that's what they're gonna do.

If not, 2018 Ukraine with domestic produced equipment is the "best" option. Will be a bit same-ish with other WP factions, though.

I have a feeling that Ukraine was a meme option that backfired; and now OWI has to deal with a dilemma (reskin Militia aka 2010th Ukraine or make a mixup of almost half of faction aka Ukraine from 2023). Other option might be to go with version of Ukraine that wasn't invaded (in other words, the version that has domestic equipement such as BM Oplot and T64BV (2017 version) for MBT, BTR-3 and BTR-4, Stuhna-P as ATGM). And regarding other options from poll, France and Japan would be most unique (with both unique vehicles and weapons), when Germany has its MBT already represented by Canada (although we might get 2A7 instead of 2A6).

The fact the majority of people would rather the devs reuse a bunch of assets already in the game, and throw them into a "New" faction. Over having them make new vehicles, guns, helis, specialist kits mind blowing to me.
