Combat experience means nothing. Most of the combat experience I have seen out of the US forces is shooting goat herders and kicking in farmers doors. You need combatants that don't have their own idea of war. This war is not Afghanistan or Iraq. They were weak forces compared to the US military. You should let Men come forward and get the experience of war.

I just need a month to get in shape. I have loads of combat experience. I was in Iraq in 2004. I fought at the circle of death. I’m 5’11 200lbs and I’ve only ever been good at American football, school, and being shot at.

They should take everyone this war is gonna last longer then the next year or 2 so should be training anyone they can to fight this war with the amount they lose on a daily basis

I see that this old Short from 2022 is still getting attention and comments. At present, the words you hear spoken out are irrelevant. The Legion's policy now allows people with or without military experience to apply, and we have many foreign volunteers in training who come from civilian background.
