KERALA BACKWATERS on a LOCAL BOAT 🇮🇳

When Rachel from @talesofodyssey invited me to join on a Kerala backwater cruise I couldn't say no of course! Instead of renting a houseboat in Alleppey we decided to go on a public transport boat from Kottayam to Alleppey because it's always more fun with the locals!

Before starting the boat ride I did a tour of this very interesting boat. Especially the toilet was unique!

During the boat ride we enjoyed lots of beautiful scenery and we even got stuck for a minute. Luckily I brought Dark Fantasy biscuits as part of my survival kit, no worries at all!

Once we made it to Alleppey we were both starving so we decided to find a restaurant. We had a delicious veg meal as recommended by the tuk tuk driver.

After this we explored Alleppey beach and lighthouse.

On the way back on the boat from Alleppey to Kottayam we enjoyed a gorgeous sunset.
