Probably one of the best trade tutorials! Miners today works better, but not perfect yet.

It seems the trend is to build mega stations with everything under one roof. But I tend to like individual stations for each task. At the very least, I prefer to keep things simple. Having storage for all the raw materials, all the intermediate parts, and finished products along with the numerous modules and crew space just seems like a waste to me. So I really appreciate the approach you took in this series. It will be far easier to individually optimize several small stations than trying to optimize an all-in-one behemoth.

Have you worked out how remove those greyed out options on your station traders so they only sell the products you want (and not buy stuff you don't)?
My solution is not to allocate the traders to the station, but to use normal autotrade, select the ware I want to sell and use the blacklist feature of patch 2.5.

Now you say they'll just grab the closest material, but I caught a miner last night travelling way outside the known sector while there's tens of millions of tons of ore right on the station's doorstep. This game has some weird glitches.
