I did lots of backtesting and found that 20% SCHD/DGRO, 20% VGT/QQQ/SCHG 20% VOO and 40% bonds or 4%+ money market matches the growth of SP500 in up years but reduces the losses in down years by 40-60%. I'm still looking for companies to make additions to my $350K portfolio, to boost performance. Here for ideas...

I'm a 52-year-old QA Specialist at Confluera, with an annual income of $150, 000. Although I do have a retirement account, I'm keen on exploring short-term investment opportunities as I prepare to shift to part-time work in the near future. What would be the most suitable strategy to achieve my goals?

just sold a property in Portland and I'm thinking to put the cash in stocks, I know everyone is saying its ripe enough, but Is this a good time to buy stocks? How long until a full recovery? How are other people in the same market raking in over $200k gains with months, I'm really just confused at this point.

Rather of relying on penny stocks, I wish to diversify my assets by investing in ETFs/index funds/mutual funds and stocks of corporations with stable cash flows. I received 350k from the selling of my El-Paso property. What should I do?

Given the current uncertain circumstances, it's crucial to grasp effective financial management, prudent investing, and adeptly maneuvering through economic downturns. However, my main focus revolves around boosting my stagnant reserve of $240k, which has remained idle for far too long with minimal to no growth. While I'm committed to the long-term approach, the erosion of my savings due to inflation and the daily depreciation of my portfolio demand immediate attention and a solution.

I like investing in close-end funds that pay monthly dividends. The trick is to hold long term and reinvest the monthly dividends plus buy more shares on a monthly basis or when ever you can afford to. This can be easily done because close-end funds are bought and sold on the stock market just like regular stock. That’d be enough to create a portfolio that would pay you between $50k to $70k in dividend income

if the idea is to build an income stream to use as complement for retirement, or at any given point if needed, then building a dividend growth portfolio always buying adding to it could be a good and peaceful path. On the long run consistency and perseverance could guaranty the desired income stream goal with little worries

Currently I'm just being smart and frugal with my money, I'm in the green 47% over the last 23 months and l've accumulated over $70K in pure profits from DCA’ing into stocks, ETFs, dividends and futures. However I’ve been in the red for a month now. I work hard for my money, so investing is making me a nervous sad wreck. I don’t know if I should sell everything, sit and just wait.

Buy a good cross section of an economy, Build a diverse portfolio that keeps you motivated, Speed up the process where possible:i'm all for dividends and i DRIP into etfs (ARKW, VOO, VXUS, IVV) and company stocks. After my first million I realized that when a stock starts booming chances of you finding out means you are quite late to the party, for this I make sure my CFA handles that, ever grateful to Dianne Sarah Olson. It's like turning your notifications to earn more millions.

I started investing with $150k and in the first 2 months, my portfolio was reading $274, 800. Crazy right!, I decided to reinvest my profit and get more interesting. For over a year we have been working together making consistent profit just bought my second home 2 weeks ago and care for my family.

Buying of just any ETFs is easy, but buying the right one without a time-tested strategy is incredibly hard. Hence which is best to buy now or put on a watchlist? I’ve been trying to grow my portfolio for sometime now, my major challenge is not knowing the best entry and exit strategies.

I always pick ETFs, this has made me over $17, 799. No Investment Minimums or Load Fees:
ETFs typically do not charge front-end or back-end load fees, making it cost-effective to start investing without hefty fees.

With the approval of bitcoin ETFs, it's widely expected that the price of bitcoin will soar past $100k. I'd be remiss not to capitalize on this opportunity immediately. I'm eager to invest my $500k in cash savings, which currently languish in the face of inflation. However, I'm concerned: is it perhaps a bit late to maximize profits at this juncture?

I recently sold a house in Portland, and I'm considering investing the proceeds in stocks. I know it's a wonderful time to buy, but is this the right moment? When will I fully recover? I'm honestly just perplexed at this point as to how other folks in the same market are making over $450, 000 in gains in a matter of months.

Most Americans find it hard to retire comfortably amid economy downtrend. Some have close to nothing going into retirement, my question is, will you pay off mortgage as a near-retiree, or spread money for cashflow, to afford lifestyle after retirement?

I recently sold my house in Portland and am thinking of investing the funds in the stock market. Although I know it's a great time to buy, I'm unsure if now is the right moment for me. I'm also wondering when I can expect to fully recover my investment. To be honest, I'm puzzled by how others in the same market are making significant gains of over $450, 000 in just a few months, and I'm trying to understand their strategies.

As a passive investor, is it wise to buy market tracking index funds and ETFs from companies like Blackrock, Vanguard and State Street, even when they're at all time highs? i want to invest around 600k for retirement

I recently bought a few ETFs. It's also a bad idea to save for a market decline. There are various viewpoints on recessions and depressions, we can't always count on seeing big returns, and taking chances is better than doing nothing. The bottom line is that you will get amazing results by diversifying your portfolio and making wise decisions. My portfolio generated a $608, 500 profit in 2022.

An important aspect to keep in mind for any investment is that they entail risk. Markets go up, markets go down. When that happens, your balance in the investment will naturally change.
That’s market risk and it’s just one type of risk you’re exposed to when you invest. There’s also interest rate risk, inflation risk, currency risk, and many more.
However, target date funds attempt to lessen the severity of some risk by gradually and automatically transitioning your asset mix of stocks and bonds to a more conservative mix as you approach retirement.
