The reason the cable jumps is because the factory bolts that come with it are too light for this crossbow.
NEVER completely untwist the cables, the twist in the cable is what makes the cable strong, if you completely untwist it, it will snap pretty quickly.
You can add or remove 1 or 2 twists to adjust poundage and timing.
