Today we talked about and show what a blown head gasket looks like. this car we working on today we did a coolant pressure test and it was losing pressure but it wasn't hitting the ground. we started it up and it started shooting out coolant. this customer to not complain about white smoke blowing from the tailpipe, but as you will see if the head gasket is definitely blown. sometimes you see white smoke, sometimes the engine locks up before you get a chance to diagnose it, sometimes it skips real bad sometimes there's oil in the coolant, sometimes coolant mixes in with the oil and makes a white milky substance. In this instance there was exhaust coming out of the radiator. There's lots of different possibilities and situations when you have a blown head gasket. Sometimes you'll see all the oil mixed in with the coolant reservoir.
